Marketing Materials

It is said that marketing is ‘any activity that influences the exchange.’  The ‘exchange’ for most businesses is a product or service and although social networking, blogging, linking and all the variations on pay-per-click are top contenders for marketing on the internet, many businesses still rely on newsletters, flyers, direct mail pieces and other promotional methods to the word out.

Here are a few examples of materials marketing that I’ve been involved with from concept through execution. Each piece entailed:

  • identification of the goal of the piece
  • knowledge of the audience for which the piece was intended
  • conceptualizing the idea, look and feel
  • translating the concept to the graphic artist
  • writing the copy
  • proofing
  • bringing to production within a timeline and budgetary framework

The list is by no means extensive but it’ll give you an idea of my work.
